About me
I started my tech recruitment career when the first iPhone was still in the prototype phase and Java developers wrote in SE06.
I gained most of my experience in the UK and I have recruited in eight different countries.
I spent many years in technical recruitment agencies and was a founding member of a recruitment start-up. I have recruited for a broad range of companies – from software start-ups, small R&D companies to large manufacturing organisations in the medical devices and defence sector. I understand 5-employee businesses and large, publicly traded tech corporations. I have made many recruiting mistakes so that you don’t have to.
Since 2018 I have been working in big tech, at Amazon and Shopify, some of the most innovative companies, where I have learnt to experiment, take risks and how to build and scale recruitment processes to support companies through hyper growth. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and E-commerce is where I have gained most of my experience.
At Amazon Alexa I built tech teams of software developers, machine learning, AI and speech scientists, and even linguists who helped Alexa understand human language.
For the last few years I have been leading teams of technical recruiters – hiring, developing, coaching and mentoring. Together with the business leaders I have been creating effective recruitment strategies. Myself and my teams have hired hundreds of software engineers, engineering managers, architects and devops across EMEA.
In 2020, after 16 years in the UK, I moved to Gdynia, together with my partner, two bilingual kids, and Lulu – the gentlest staffordshire bull terrier in town.
